- ・岩石学全般（大学在籍時から現在まで花崗岩メインのテーマでやっていますが、最近は苦鉄質な火山岩や断層岩や変成岩も扱うようになってきています。）
・鉱物の熱力学（相平衡論に基づいて鉱物-メルト間の元素分配を扱う手法“地質温度計”や“地質圧力計”の勉強を好んでやっています。）

- ①火山岩岩石学
古典的なマグマ混合の議論から拡散プロファイルを用いた滞留時間推定まではある程度ついていけます。偏光顕微鏡・電子顕微鏡での微細組織観察、EPMAでの化学組成分析までは経験ありです。
②熱水変質
土岐花崗岩で生じる熱水変質について、2019年の論文（共著）を皮切りに携わっています。主に偏光顕微鏡・電子顕微鏡での微細組織観察、EPMAでの化学組成分析、画像処理ソフトを用いた画像解析（イメージJ、フォトショなど）に馴染みがあります。
③EPMAでの元素分析
元素マッピングはどのような試料でも対応しています。定量分析は、鉱物でしたら対応しています。
